Round 5 - Murray Bridge - 24 Hour - 2024

Overview

It's that time of the year again! On September 21st - 22nd, we return to Sturt Reserve in the City of Murray Bridge for the season finale, our biggest event of the season, the 24 Hour! The race begins at 12pm Saturday 21st and ends at 12pm Sunday 22nd, with continuous racing through the night for the 24 hour period, making for some of the most interesting, and challenging racing for the whole season! We will be there from Friday 20th of September for setup during the day and practice/qualifing in the late afternoon/night.

Practice/qualifying is a unique part of the Murray Bridge weekend. It gives riders a chance to get a feel for the track and the conditions we might be racing in come the race proper! Last year the Open Category teams practised first and the School teams then got their chance once the sun began to set. The team is also timed during the practise session and the Saturday grid positions are determined by the team's fastest overall time set. The faster the lap time, the higher up the grid you make it!

Another thing unique to Murray Bridge weekends of the past is that we open up the FCR pits to an interstate team, Duncraig SHS! The guys from Duncraig will be coming back over from Perth for this year's event. They will be borrowing Hellkitty for the weekend, transforming it into THUNDERCAT! Please make the team feel welcome!
