Your 2025 Committee members as elected at the 2024 Annual General Meeting:
Wayne Ferguson
President
Wayne 'Fergie’ Ferguson has been a member of FCR since 2007 and has ridden in various trikes since 2009, currently a member of Cat Attack. Wayne is a teacher at Modbury High School and has been involved with MHS Pedal Prix since 2005. He has acted in the role of School Liaison since 2007 and was FCR President in 2015. Fergie is excited to take the club into 2025 as our club President. Fast Cats just wouldn't be the same without Fergie around!
Fergie is also a Life Member of FCR.
Kym Erkelenz
Vice President
Kym has been a member of FCR since 2015 and is currently riding in Cat Attack, the team he is also currently managing. Kym has represented FCR interstate, riding in Busselton, WA, Casey Fields, Victoria & Bendigo, Vic. For 5 years Kym also managed Modbury High School’s development trike Puma and joined the FCR committee in 2019 and has acted in many capacities since then, most notably in the role as Vice-President in 2021, 2024 and now again in 2025.
Wayne Kearns
Treasurer
Wayne has been a member of FCR since 2015 and has ridden in our Masters trike Tom Cat and then Cat Attack. Wayne started working at MHS in 1993 as School Financial officer and has since retired. As well as being a member of the clubs Executive Committee, Wayne also carried out the role of President of the Velodrome Committee. During his time in the role, he has coordinated and organised serveral amazing Velodrome Experience race days and practices. Wayne will continue in the elected role of FCR Treasurer for 2025, a role he has held since 2019!
Wendy Erkelenz
Secretary
Wendy has been an integral part of the Fast Cats family since 2015, when her son, rider & team manager, Daniel Erkelenz joined the team through Modbury High. Since then, Wendy has held integral volunteer roles, most notably as Team Manager for Pink Panther for multiple seasons, and committee positions for the majority of the time she has been with the club. Wendy returns in the role of club Secretary for 2025
Ron Gibbins
Committee Member
Ron became a Modbury High Pedal Prix parent volunteer in 2006 and was one of the founding members of FCR back in 2007. He has been involved in various roles within the club including FCR committee member and team manager for various trikes. If Ron can't fix it, it can't be fixed! In 2022, Ron became the club President, and lead the club to one of it's most successful seasons ever!
Ron is also a Life Member of FCR.
Elton Hibberd
Committee Member
Elton has been a rider and member of FCR since 2020 and has ridden predominantly for our Master's team, Top Cat. In 2024, Elton's returns for his fourth stint on the FCR Commitee. Elton enjoys being at the club and helping out with the bikes as well as going for regular rides to put some of our other FCR riders to the test! He also takes the cake as being our craziest FCR member after becoming the first solo rider from FCR at the Victoria Park 6-hour in 2022! Elton is an amazing character and we love having him at our club and on the committee.
Stephen Blake
Committee Member
Stephen and his HPV loving family came to FCR in 2023 after the closure of his much loved 'The Heights Pedal Prix' team. Throughout the season, he has rode in many of our trikes but has settled into Team Cat Attack, one of our open community trikes. Stephen's wife and two daughters also ride for FCR making it a family affair. This will be Stephen's second year on the FCR committee and we look forward to a fresh outlook and new ideas.
Ben Harding
Committee Member

Ben became involved in Pedal Prix during his years at Modbury High School and rode in many of the school trikes. After leaving school, Ben joined FCR as a community rider and team manager. Ben has team managed Hellcat for the last couple of years and is passionate about building a strong Mixed Community team. After a break from riding, Ben got back in the trike in 2024 .
